This year as part of our FIA conference partnership with Fundraising Institute of Australia, we’ve created Big Chat: Conversations with Purpose as a way to get to know FIA speakers and other leaders in the sector through a more informal lens.
Big Chat aims to inspire new and existing members of the for-purpose community and see themselves as the future achievers and leaders of social change.
Helen Merrick
Helen has spent the past eleven years in the not for profit sector. Specialising in marketing and fundraising, she has led large teams, providing strategic advice and operational management in the areas of brand and profile raising, revenue generation, direct marketing initiatives, channel management and communications. Through Include a Charity, Helen developed and led a variety of training courses and groups focusing on gifts in wills working closely with over 100 member charities and international legacy campaigns. Helen is now General Manager of Fundraising & Marketing at Mission Australia and a Board Member at Biyani House – Revesby women’s shelter.
