Marlin’s independence is 100% protected, as the 14-year business partnership between Karl and Dan draws to an end.

After fourteen years, Dan and Karl have agreed to separate as business partners. From 1st July 2026, Karl will become the sole owner of Marlin Communications, leading the agency into its next chapter with clarity, continuity, and renewed energy.

Whilst it’s business as usual at Marlin Communications we wanted to break the news together.

As many in our industry will appreciate, agency life is both deeply rewarding and incredibly demanding. It requires constant energy, shared vision, and alignment in how a business evolves.

Earlier this year, following open and honest conversations, it became clear that while both remain passionate about serving the sector, their individual ambitions and approaches have evolved in different directions.

As a result, the decision has been made to move forward independently.
