Bespoke web platform for a childcare provider
Laravel custom web application
System7 is a service provider that helps child care centers manage and organise their mandated quality improvement plans as well as their self-assessment plans. System7 approached us with a desire to upgrade their platform to match their growth plans and make maintenance easier. Their existing minimum viable product (MVP) was no longer – well, viable.
System7 outgrew their MVP and needed to upgrade their platform to match their growth plans and make maintenance easier.
A robust, future-proofed platform and a WordPress marketing engine.
An all in one, easy-to-use custom platform, built according to business requirements, that allows System7 to scale towards their KPIs and meeting client’s needs.
“Working backwards, the end result is exceeding expectations. The marketing site and app for System7 QIP has provided the ideal platform to not only meet users current needs but also the evolving space and required solutions. The journey to get here has been nothing short of professional and progressive. I have learnt myself that a higher degree of detail and checking is required to deliver a program such as this and I’ve been happy to have been pushed outside my comfort zone at different times when required. In respect of communication, guidance and flexibility - this also matched the journey and product. System7 QIP has been a pleasure to build and I look forward to all of its future generations and new projects.”Mark Evans, DirectorSystem7
When an organisation outgrows their MVP, it can become pretty clear that out-of-the-box solutions no longer fit what the organisation needs to meet their goals or stay competitive in the market. At this point, System7 could not rely on their current vendors to maintain the system due to platform constraints. They also needed a solution that was easily maintained.
Most MVPs do what they are built for really well, but over time, more features and enhancements might have been added that were not part of the original scope. This is natural, as requirements shift through time, however if they have been added on without risk or impact analysis, the changes can potentially break another part of the platform unintentionally. This patched together platform might end up costing more in maintenance than necessary, as failsafes need to be put in place and maintenance becomes burdensome.
We knew that System7 required a bespoke system early on. They had big growth plans and thus the platform could not be a hindrance.
After conducting an in- depth Discovery workshop with the team, it was clear that a truly bespoke system was the only way to go. The organisation needed a robust, future-proofed platform that scaled for their KPI targets and we identified that a platform using Laravel, a PHP framework, was needed.
The result is a beautiful, easy-to-use custom platform, built according to business requirements, that allows System7 to scale towards their KPIs, maintain and handle their large user base, and on board users as required.
System7’s custom solution is easily maintainable and integrates with a beautiful WordPress marketing site, allowing their marketing team to promote the product.
Since the platform was just launched, the results so far have been the excellent feedback and buy-in from everyone at System7 including their customers.
By building something bespoke, we can ensure we are building something that is exactly tailored to your organisation’s needs. System7 now a reliable, robust and fast platform that can be further enhanced with new features based on the organisation’s needs and user’s requirements.
We love building these sort of solutions as we know the end result is something beautiful both in the code and on the front end.
